52 Companies Named 2026 Huizhou Green Factories

The Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has recently released the 2026 list of Huizhou municipal-level green factories, with 52 enterprises—including Huizhou Kaite Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd.—earning the designation. To date, Huizhou is home to 58 national-level green factories, 86 provincial-level green factories, and 162 municipal-level green factories, maintaining a leading position in the Guangdong province for green manufacturing brand count. A tiered cultivation system spanning national, provincial, and municipal levels has been established, creating a multi-pillar green manufacturing framework with growing cluster effects and an ever-expanding roster of green manufacturers.

The 52 newly selected municipal-level green factories span diverse industries, with each county and district leveraging its leading industries to foster green benchmarks. Boluo County and Zhongkai High-tech Zone are the frontrunners, having added 17 such factories each.

In Boluo County, companies such as Daikin, Baowu Magnesium, Power World New Energy, and Moso Energy have leveraged the local equipment and new materials industries to implement waste heat recovery and closed-loop hazardous waste management in metal processing and home appliance manufacturing, helping traditional industrial enterprises transition from high energy consumption to green, low-carbon operations.

In Zhongkai High-tech Zone, leading companies in new energy, new display, and smart equipment — such as Yinghe Technology, Longli Technology, Ganfeng Lithium Battery, and Sinexcel Electric — have implemented water and electricity conservation and solid waste recycling across the entire process, from lithium battery production and photovoltaic converters to automation equipment. Many have also installed on-site distributed photovoltaic systems, setting a benchmark for green upgrades in the electronic information and new energy industries.

Green factory evaluations are centered on the core criteria of clean production, waste recycling, low-carbon energy use, and intensive land use, and enterprises seeking the designation must complete systematic upgrades in energy-saving retrofits, circular utilization, environmental governance, and digital control. In recent years, Huizhou has rolled out special incentive policies for green manufacturing, offering financial rewards to companies that are recognized as national- or provincial-level green factories. These efforts are complemented by a full package of support services, including energy audits, technical upgrade assistance, and green finance, all aimed at steadily reducing the transformation costs for businesses.

Green manufacturing has now become a defining trend in Huizhou. Beyond reducing energy consumption and pollutant emissions, green credentials have opened doors to high-end supply chains both at home and abroad, emerging as a core competitive advantage for businesses. Many enterprises have noted that earning the green factory designation not only lowers operational costs for utilities and hazardous waste disposal, but also serves as a ticket into the supply chains of leading new energy and electronics companies.

According to local authorities, Huizhou will continue to strengthen its tiered cultivation system for national, provincial, and municipal green factories and will initiate the development of zero-carbon factories. Leveraging the city’s “2+1” modern industrial cluster, the city aims to drive coordinated green and low-carbon upgrades across the supply chain through benchmark enterprises, steadily expand its green manufacturing network, and reinforce the industrial foundation for the sustainable development of Huizhou’s manufacturing economy.
