To thoroughly implement Guangdong provincial government’s high-quality development strategy and vigorously advance the “Cantonese Goods Go Global” initiative—with the goal of continuously boosting domestic demand, expanding market reach, and stimulating consumption—the 2026 “Cantonese Goods Go Global · Huizhou Premium Products Tour (Changsha)” consumer promotion event was kicked off on August 15–16 at the Shanshan Outlets Plaza in Changsha. The event was hosted by the Huizhou Municipal Government and jointly organized by the Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Municipal Supply and Marketing Cooperative.
In June this year, the “Cantonese Goods Go Global · Huizhou Premium Products Tour (Ganzhou)” was successfully held. Huizhou-made products, cultural and creative goods, and specialty gifts were well received by local residents, generating strong market response and delivering fruitful results. The event effectively raised the visibility and reputation of Huizhou’s premium products out of Guangdong.
This time, Huizhou is once again heading north along the Beijing-Guangzhou economic corridor to expand its market presence. Under the theme “Cantonese Goods Go Global – Huizhou Premium Products for a Joyful Shopping Experience”, the event adopts an integrated model that combines government-business collaboration, production-supply linkage, and city promotion to create a one-stop platform for product showcase, brand promotion, and economic and trade cooperation. The initiative aims to steadily propel Huizhou’s premium products beyond the Greater Bay Area and into the vast markets of central and southern China, further amplifying the reach and reputation of the “Made in Huizhou” city brand.
It is learned that the event will bring together some 80 quality enterprises from all seven counties and districts of Huizhou, showcasing four major product categories: consumer electronics, home appliances, daily-use consumer goods, and cultural, creative, and intangible-cultural-heritage specialty gifts. The event adopts a dual-channel model that integrates online livestreaming for traffic generation with offline exhibitions and promotional sales. Simultaneously, dedicated sessions will be held for city image promotion, targeted business matchmaking, and Hakka cultural and tourism experiences. The event also facilitates in-depth connections between Huizhou enterprises and key Changsha business associations, supermarket chains, and distribution channels, with the goal of establishing stable, long-term sales and supply cooperation channels beyond Guangdong Province.
A representative from the Municipal Bureau of Commerce noted that the Changsha stop of the event represents a key move by Huizhou to proactively integrate into regional coordinated development and deepen its engagement in the domestic circulation strategy. Leveraging the Beijing-Guangzhou corridor’s north-south connectivity, Huizhou aims to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges with Hunan Province in areas such as trade and distribution, industrial supply chains, and cultural-tourism integration. Using its quality products as a bridge, Huizhou is committed to forging a new pattern of regional coordinated development characterized by north-south connectivity, resource sharing, and mutual benefit.
