The General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released its 2025 list of model AI application cases. TCL King Electrical Appliances (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. has been named to the roster with its integrated digital-intelligent platform for TV R&D, production, and sales, together with multi-scenario AI agent applications. Selected as a model case in the industry empowerment category, the achievement marks Huizhou’s “AI + manufacturing” initiatives as nationally recognized.
The selection focused on innovative AI practices that empower the real economy, with submissions sought in categories such as technology infrastructure, industry empowerment, and product applications. The goal was to identify mature, scalable, and replicable AI models with demonstrable industrial value, offering a reference for digital and intelligent transformation across sectors. A total of 285 cases were selected nationwide for the 2025 list.

The platform deeply embeds AI into R&D, manufacturing, supply chain coordination, marketing, and customer service—breaking down data silos across the full process and enabling intelligent decision-making, seamless collaboration, and cost-efficiency gains with enhanced quality. For example, AI algorithms fine-tune display picture quality; AI-powered visual inspection systems boost yield rates and manufacturing efficiency; and AI-driven demand forecasting models optimize inventory turnover while mitigating supply chain volatility.
As a leading electronics company in Huizhou, TCL has long been at the forefront of integrating AI with smart manufacturing. According to available information, TCL has already deployed AI across key areas such as R&D, manufacturing, supply chain management, and product innovation. Over the past three years, its AI initiatives have generated total benefits exceeding RMB 2.5 billion. The company now operates around 500 “silicon-based employees”—AI agents that have been embedded in over 30% of its workflows, with more than 10,000 agents currently in use.
Since the beginning of this year, Huizhou has mobilized city-wide efforts to build up its AI and robotics industries, which have seen rapid growth as application scenarios accelerate toward full coverage, round-the-clock responsiveness, and cross-sector penetration. In May, the city released its first batch of AI scenario-based demand list, featuring 38 high-value real-world application needs across six key areas— “AI+” scientific research, agriculture and rural development, manufacturing, services, governance, and public welfare—extending a global invitation for AI solutions. An additional 50+ scenarios will be rolled out in each of the third and fourth quarters, bringing the year’s total to over 150.
