Mr. Liu Ji, Deputy Secretary of CPC Huizhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Huizhou recently conducted an inspection tour to Huicheng District, Huiyang District and Huidong County on the city’s latest transportation infrastructure development, as well as Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Huizhou) Data Industrial Park on the project development. Mr. Lin Hong, Vice Mayor of Huizhou, was also present at the tour.
Honglong Highway, connecting downtown of Huizhou with Longmen County, is a key project of Guangdong during the 13th Five-year Plan period; when completed, it will become the most convenient shortcut connecting Longmen County, eastern Boluo County with Huicheng District, Huiyang District, Daya Bay and Huidong County. The inspection team led by Liu Ji first visited the Shiwo Village at Huicheng District, aiming to learn more about the latest construction progress for the Huilong Highway, No.1 Road and the other transportation infrastructure projects. Mr. Liu urged relevant government bodies to work cooperatively and help solve those bottleneck issues relating to these projects, so as to ensure the early completion of these projects and enable Huilong Highway to be operational as soon as possible.
The No. 1 Road (Huixia Highway) is located at the south-north axis of Huizhou’s 丰-shaped transportation network, and it will eventually connect with the Island Ring Road at Huidong County. Mr. Liu pointed out that the No. 1 Road was of great significance for Huizhou to upgrade its status into a coastal city. He also urged relevant government bodies to safeguard the project quality, safety as well as on-time delivery.
At the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Huizhou) Data Industrial Park, Mr. Liu expressed the same high hopes to relevant government bodies. He also added that greater efforts should be made to facilitate the attraction of high-level digital enterprises in the fields of information technology, Internet service and big data, transforming Huizhou into an intelligent valley within the Greater Bay Area.
Mr. Liu also stressed that building China into a world power of advanced transportation infrastructure was a major strategic decision made by the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core, and it was also the key to China’s transportation development in the new era. He urged government agencies at different levels to speed up the transportation infrastructure projects in the city, promoting the upgrading of the city and advancing the integration into the living circle of Shenzhen. He also pinpointed several key tasks, including design and planning, construction supervision and quality control, turning Huizhou into a gateway hub within Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
