In our visit to the construction site for the JIMI Connected Car & Smart Terminal Beidou Industrial Base in Huizhou, which was a key industrial project of the city, construction was carried out in an orderly manner and this project is expected to be operational by the end of this year.
According to Mr. Zhang Liyang, general manager of this construction project, the progress of this project was barely affected by the ongoing epidemic, “as of now the pile foundation and bearing platform have been completed”. The project saw the work resumption on February 28, and all 90 construction workers had resumed their normal operation. This project is expected to be operational, as planned, by the end of this year. Starting from March this year, local authorities, including Huizhou Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Development and Reform Bureau and Xiaojinkou Sub-district, have offered guidance and technical support to enterprises on work resumption related matters.
With a total investment of 980 million yuan, the JIMI Connected Car & Smart Terminal Beidou Industrial Base is a key project of Huizhou. When completed, it will have an annual output value of 2 billion yuan, with the increase of tax revenues reaching 50 million yuan and offering over 2,000 job opportunities. In addition, this project will help facilitate upgrading of the industrial structure and boost the development of service sectors, such as real estate, catering, intermediary services and trade.
